Obituary

Michael Anthony Tummillo
December 28, 1959 – October 5, 2019

Michael Anthony Tummillo, 59, of Stephenville, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Stephenville.

Celebration of life will be held at the family home on Sunday, October 13th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, a come and go, and all are welcome to come. The address is 10610 N. St. Hwy 108, Stephenville, Texas.

Michael was born on December 28, 1959 in Oak Park, Illinois to Anthony J. and Maria Salazar Tummillo. He married Barbara Burton Tounget in 2004 in Stephenville. Michael was a Chaplain, and founded the online ministry, TCAW, The Church at Work. He was a member of the Ekklesia Church, and has lived in Stephenville since 2001.

Mike loved his family fiercely, and that love for Barbara, his kids, their spouses, and grandkids, were second only to his love for the Lord. Mike would pray for anyone as soon as they shared their burdens with him. So many did! He planted seeds, he led people to the Lord, he was never embarrassed or hesitant to share his faith with others. God is Love, and the love of God flowed through him.

Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Justin and wife Stephanie Tummillo of Stephenville, Gavin and wife Shelly Tummillo of Burleson, Maegan and husband Juan Sidon of Burleson, Devin and husband Dwight Woodyard of Granbury, Brooke and husband Lane Davis of Longview, and Matt and wife Samantha Tounget of Cibolo; father Anthony Tummillo of Georgetown; sisters, Gerrianne and husband Jim Waring of Georgetown, Debbie and husband Al Goodman of Brandon, Mississippi, and Lynda and husband Sean MacFarland of San Diego, California; 17 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Tummillo.

I lieu of flowers, the Tummillo family requests donations in Michael’s honor to The Church at Work, tcawchaplains.org, or the Salvation Army, Samaritan’s Purse, or the American Diabetes Association.

I met Michael Tummillo at Arlington Christian Center (ACC) in February 1992 in Arlington, Texas. We would minister together in people’s homes while I was Home Pastor in Home Cell groups from the ACC Church. He was a Awesome Brother and Friend in Christ! I will miss him greatly but he’s in a beautiful place in Heaven. I’m Retired in Florida. I will pray for Comfort and Peace to his wife, kids and grandkids. I miss you Mike 🙏.

Pastor Mike believed in me when few others did, and for that I will always be grateful, and in his debt. It saddens me that I didn’t get to meet with him in person before God took him, but I know he’s in Heaven, and that I’ll meet him on the other side. Amen! 😇
